We are looking for an enthusiastic Legal Counsel to join Blacklane's Legal team.


YOUR CHALLENGE:

First point of contact for all data protection / data privacy related matters and requests within the company and outside of the company:

  • Implementation of data privacy compliance framework within the company.
  • Support the external Data Protection Officer in his duties.
  • Draft and negotiate privacy related agreements like data processing or transfer agreements and other privacy heavy commercial agreements.
  • As a business enabler close relationship with different stakeholders within the company, act as business a including product managers, customer care, partner management and ITsecurity, enabling them to develop privacy compliant products and features.


Advise on various legal matters relating to our hubs in Germany, UK, USA, Singapore, Australia and Dubai and provide general legal support in a wide variety of legal fields, local and international, in particular: Regulatory and Commercial law.

Take ownership and responsibility and be able to drive, plan and carry a project.


ABOUT YOU:


  • German legal certification, including Volljuristen, or a different track following the first state exam OR equivalent international qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of Privacy Law, GDPR, additional knowledge in IT/Commercial Law preferable, experience in contract negotiations.
  • Native level English language skills, and proficiency in written and spoken German (company language is English).
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new areas of law, and research and solve problems in unknown areas.
  • Proactivity and ability to get handson to support the team's work and train the team.
  • Pragmatic approach, solutionoriented, cando attitude, strong analytical skills, sound judgment.
  • Ready to provide legal advice in a fastpaced, challenging, and international environment.
  • Understanding of digital businesses as well as an interest in the emobility market and are (internal) customerfocused at all times
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills, familiar with working on multicultural teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize your workload.
  • Fun to work with.
