Position Overview: A key client of ours is seeking a skilled individual to fulfil the role of Cloud Architect & IT Infrastructure Consultant, who will be instrumental in architecting cloud solutions within the Azure environment while also overseeing the IT infrastructure aspects of projects. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Azure services, cloud architecture principles, and IT infrastructure management.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement cloud solutions on the Azure platform, tailored to meet client specifications and align with industry best practices.
Lead the evaluation and enhancement of IT infrastructure, ensuring alignment with cloud strategies and business requirements.
Collaborate closely with clients and internal stakeholders to comprehend business requirements and translate them into technical blueprints.
Formulate cloud architecture strategies and migration plans, including evaluating existing infrastructures and recommending Azure-centric solutions.
Oversee the deployment and management of Azure services, ensuring scalability, resilience, and robust security measures.
Demonstrated track record as a Cloud Architect or in a similar capacity, showcasing expertise in Azure services like Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, etc.
Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure DevOps.
Understanding of networking fundamentals, encompassing VPNs, VNETs, ExpressRoute, and Azure Firewall.
Requirements:
Proven experience in leading IT infrastructure projects, including network design, server management, and system administration.
Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks and best practices for IT service management.
Proficiency in managing virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
Familiarity with hybrid IT environments, including on-premises infrastructure and cloud services integration.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
