Atlas Relief and Development International (ARDI) is a women-led international development organization working to empower diverse communities affected by conflict to shape and participate in the peaceful, inclusive, rights-based, and secure futures they envision.

ARDI specializes in supporting civilians affected by the conflict in Syria.

ARDI is registered in the United States, Germany, Turkey, Iraq, and Syria; and we operate in areas affected by conflict and migration.

ARDI leads programming across a wide variety of development projects, including expertise in peacebuilding, women's empowerment, capacity building, civil society strengthening, political participation, economic empowerment, technical research, awareness-raising, and the amplification of diverse and minority voices.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary duties and responsibilities of the Programs Officer include, but not limited to:

Programming

  • Design and implement practical approaches to complex international development issues.
  • Contribute to the research and development of new and innovative service offerings.
  • Draft, review, and copy edit project deliverables to meet project requirements.
  • Track project progress and requirements to ensure correct submissions based on project timelines and expectations.
  • Support the design projectrelated materials, including training curriculum, project tools and templates, and systematic approaches related to each specific project.
  • Support the fostering of partnerships and network development efforts, including resource and stakeholder mapping, to help increase collaboration and opportunities.
  • Support monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning efforts across all projects to identify and address trends, challenges, needs, achievements, etc.
  • Assist in tracking financial reports and other project submissions from the Field office and local Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).
  • Other relevant tasks and efforts, as agreed upon.

Grant and Administrative Support

  • Support the grant opportunity tracking and identification process, including helping to expand into new funding arenas.
  • Provide administrative support by assisting in the organization and digitization of hardcopy records or reorganization of digital files.
  • Develop and/or update templates and tools relevant to concept notes and proposals.
  • Document notes during internal and external meetings in a systematic manner to refer back to during the development grant and project implementation process.
  • Participate in both online and offline donor, partner, and other stakeholder meetings.
  • Other relevant tasks and efforts, as agreed upon.

EDUCATION, TECHNICAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor's degree (masters degree considered an advantage) in public administration, international development, public policy, international affairs, humanitarian sector, and/or other relevant fields.
  • 35 years of experience in public administration, international development, public policy, international affairs, humanitarian sector, and/or other relevant fields.
  • Native English speaking and writing fluency is required.
  • Strong and convincing writing and desk research skills, with the ability to integrate analyzed quantitative data and qualitative findings and trends into written material.
  • Ability to work from Berlin, Germany as a salaried employee on German payroll.
  • Dynamic selfstarter who thrives off of tackling complex challenges, identifying strategic solutions, and has the ability to collaborate well with diverse teams in both distancebased and inperson environments.
  • Ability to effectively manage a diverse portfolio of work while delivering highquality outputs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to cultivate productive relationships with diverse colleagues and stakeholders and work collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with sound judgment.
  • Strong critical thinking, passion for excellence, and personal integrity.
