In order to lead our Lab Test Means Projects, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a

Project Engineering & Technical Project Lead (d/f/m) for Eurodrone

The department "TEYVW Weapon System Integration Rigs" in the division "TEYV Flight & Integration Test Centre" at Airbus Defence and Space, is responsible for all Lab Test Means (LTM) at the Manching site.

This includes future concepts, design, development, build up, integration and verification of the Lab Test Means.

Additionally, we are responsible for the continuous operation and maintenance of the LTM during the entire life cycle of the aircraft.

Our Lab Test Means are a key part for qualification and certification of avionics and flight control systems.

The umbrella term Lab Test Means (LTM) covers different areas, such as Test Facilities and Test Support Systems (Rigs and Benches), Aircraft Ground Equipment (AGE), Rig Support Equipment (RSE), and many more.

The main customers come from the programmes: Eurofighter, Tornado, A400M, Eurodrone, FCAS, In-House Acquisition as well as Technology Projects. Our Lab Test Means are also deployed worldwide to partner companies, air forces, cooperation partners etc.

This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your tasks and responsibilities

Project management of LTM to secure project realization on time, on cost and on quality
Interface and focal point for internal and external stakeholders (e.g. PMO, CE, BAAINBw, etc.).
Future project acquisition and contribution to business growth
Preparation of proposals, including requirement gathering, technical concept preparation, estimation of costs, creation of statements of work, execution of price investigations, etc.
Preparation and execution of mandatory PM documentation and meetings e.g. schedule creation and coordination, WBS, risk & opportunity management, project controlling, EVM, change management, etc.
Accountability for LTMrelated projects

Desired skills and qualifications

You have successfully completed studies in Systems Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Business Engineering or a comparable Study
You have comprehensive knowledge and experience in the area of Technical Project Management and Systems Engineering
Leadership qualities, assertiveness, ability to work independently
Experience dealing with customers such as BAAINBw or German Air Force including knowledge of their procedures and processes
Our international and multicultural environment requires improved skills in German and English language (spoken and written) in order to enable an efficient communication
