THE VENTURE

Freddy Health is a medical conversation company that structures and summarizes conversations for medical staff and patients. Our mission is to revolutionize health workflows by harnessing the power of AI. We aim to boost the efficiency of health professionals.

We're seeking a passionate CTO to help bring our AI health solutions to life. PART OF AN AI ECOSYSTEM

The venture that you will be working for is part of the world's first AI Venture Studio, Merantix. Already today, AI automates complex, multi-level processes that used to be dependent on human decision-making, resulting in automation and higher accuracy. Merantix aims to spearhead this development, building the category leaders of tomorrow. At Merantix Venture Studio, we build and scale machine learning companies. Through our unique incubation platform, seed financing and exceptional teams of visionary entrepreneurs and engineers, we transfer world-leading research into products that will change existing and create new industries. The growing platform constitutes a unique brand with a shared tech and operational infrastructure that attracts talent, resonates with industry partners, and leverages the proven network and product-building experience. Your role

We are seeking exceptional entrepreneurial minds that have the ambition to make an impact in health. As the CTO, you will be working side by side with the founder to help build the venture from the ground up.

Key responsibilities:

Promoting engineering and software excellence.
Designing, implementing, and evaluating product prototypes.
Designing, implementing, and evaluating ML/AI algorithms.
Creating high quality code with a focus on readability, speed, scale, and reliability.
Hiring, leading and managing a team of product engineers.
Creating and presenting reports on product status and progress.
Building product quality assurance and data protection processes.
Using user feedback to guide improvements and modifications to the product.
Communicating product strategy to team, partners and investors.
Building resilient and reliable systems, and teams.

Your profile

You are a curious, scientifically-minded, highly motivated individual with experience in building products and leading engineering teams in an early-stage start-up.

You have a MSc or PhD in Computer Science or related field (Physics or Maths).
You have proven strong knowledge of algorithm design and statistics.
You have 3+ years of experience in designing and managing products.
You have 3+ years of experience in full-stack & AI/ML development.
You have proven understanding of product budget and planning.
You have previous experience in leading and managing product at an early stage start-up.
You are passionate about using technology to drive a positive impact in health.
You are curious, highly motivated, and passionate about entrepreneurship.
You have superb communication (verbal and written English; German would be a plus) and interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
You have strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize appropriately and effectively.
You have previous start-up founder experience.
