What We Do

The Venture

Freddy Health is a medical conversation company that structures and summarizes conversations for medical staff and patients. Our goal is to transform health workflows by utilizing AI technology. We are looking for a driven CTO to assist in bringing our AI health solutions to fruition. We prioritize diverse experiences and continuous learning to have a significant impact on critical health challenges. Our team is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology, ML, and AI to contribute to a healthier future.

Part of an AI Ecosystem

The Merantix AI Fund is Europe's primary and top-tier AI fund, specializing in AI-driven companies. Our team constructs and invests in pioneering AI-native companies, always aiming for exponential growth through AI as a universal technology. We believe in vertically integrated business models, data flywheel effects, diverse founding teams, societal impact, and enhancing European industry sovereignty.

To curate a portfolio of 40 robust AI-native companies, the Merantix AI Fund utilizes the Merantix Platform to attract and facilitate interactions between ideas, talent, industry, and policy on a large scale. With over 10 AI ventures established, comprising more than 60 technical experts within Merantix Momentum, and orchestrating interactions with 100k individuals at the Merantix AI Campus, Europe's largest AI community space, we stand out and attract individuals involved in AI endeavors.

Your Role

We are searching for entrepreneurial individuals who are dedicated to making a difference in the realm of health. As the CTO, you will collaborate closely with the founder to build the venture from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

Promoting engineering and software excellence.
Designing, implementing, and evaluating product prototypes.
Designing, implementing, and evaluating ML/AI algorithms.
Creating high-quality code with emphasis on readability, speed, scale, and reliability.
Hiring, leading, and managing a team of product engineers.
Creating and delivering reports on product status and progress.
Establishing product quality assurance and data protection processes.
Utilizing user feedback to steer enhancements and modifications to the product.
Communicating the product strategy to the team, partners, and investors.
Developing resilient and reliable systems and teams.

Your Profile

You are an inquisitive, scientifically-oriented, highly motivated individual with a background in product development and leading engineering teams within a startup environment.

You hold a MSc or PhD in Computer Science or a related field (Physics or Maths).
You possess a strong understanding of algorithm design and statistics.
You have over 3 years of experience in product design and management.
You have over 3 years of experience in full-stack & AI/ML development.
You have a solid grasp of product budgeting and planning.
You have previous experience leading and managing product development in an early-stage startup.
You are enthusiastic about leveraging technology to make a positive impact in healthcare.
You exhibit curiosity, high motivation, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
You demonstrate exceptional communication skills (verbal and written English; knowledge of German would be advantageous) and can effectively engage with both technical and non-technical teams.
You possess strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a knack for proper prioritization.
You have experience as a startup founder in the past.
