In order to support the department Materials and Processes, Airbus Helicopters is looking for a


Internship / Master Thesis within Materials and Process Engineering (d/f/m):

Your location:


At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product.

Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

Your tasks and responsibilities:


  • Literature research
  • Mechanical tests, such as material fatigue, corrosion tests, microscopy, microsection and analysis of the marking, where the marking must be readable after surface treatment (painting and electroplating).
  • Coordination of the tests
  • Documentation of the results

Desired skills and qualifications:


  • Enrolled full time student (d/f/m) within Material Science, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a similar field of study
  • Previous experience in material testing is desirable
  • Rigor, creativity and team spirit
  • Fluent in English; German or French is beneficial
