Your Role:


As the Advanced Manufacturing Global Lead, you will be part of a team that is building the future foundation for digitalization and smart manufacturing within the Life Sciences business sector.

You will manage a team to define, shape, and implement Industry 4.0 technologies such as, digital twin, IoT sensorization, predictive maintenance, predictive quality, and process modeling across Life Sciences sites globally (within both GxP and Non-GxP environments).

This role will be responsible for working with site operations and business leaders to define needs and requirements, establish site smart manufacturing roadmaps, planning, prioritization, and implementation across the ISCO manufacturing network.

This role will report to the Head Digital Operations and Smart Manufacturing.

You will be a key member of the site digital operations team.


The role and responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the Life Sciences transformation to deliver new innovation and technologies across manufacturing, quality, laboratory and supply chain
  • Partner with key stakeholders to develop strategic roadmaps and oversee the associated project portfolio
  • Support the design and implementation of the new technology introduction process (Business Intake/Ideation/Design/Test/Scale) for new technologies within the Life Sciences business
  • Lead the New Technologies Governance and stage gate process, manage project and portfolio of new capabilities, managing stakeholder and business sponsor demand
  • Provide leadership and direction to site digital teams on developing digital and technology capabilities, roadmap and budget need to drive new advances in operations and quality process that can deliver efficient, agile, predictive operations
  • Develop and manage digital twin and advanced process control and modeling strategy for predictive operations and quality. Develop standards and procedures of the creation, validation, maintenance, and obsolescence strategy for mechanistic and physicsbased models used to support Life Sciences operations and services
  • Responsible for working with global and site leaders in the project definition, budgeting, planning and implementation for new and existing site projects
  • Implement manufacturing information and reporting system standards that support the creation of paperless batch records and facilitate product release
  • Act as Lead for team to deliver standard practices for implemented technologies; functional and detailed design specifications, validation, training, maintenance across system lifecycle
  • Work closely with the site operations, global IT and Vendor to provide support in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies
  • Partner and collaboration within Life Sciences Data Analytics team for the integration of new technologies, models and data flow to common data layer (Foundry) as required to support data connectivity, structure, reporting and data flow as required to support project need
  • Collaborate with IT to for new architecture and design requirements to support technology implementation and project budgeting process
  • Regularly prepare management reports and participate in Steering Committee meetings as required
  • Develop & manage the annual LRP CAPEX and OPEX budgets for this team
**Who you are: - Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field preferred with 7+ years of experience working in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry. Masters degree in engineering is a plus

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience working in diverse, multidisciplined work groups
  • Experience and/or substantial understanding of process control principles and common system vendors' available products
  • Proficient in use of data modeling tools such as SIMCA, PLS, PCA, and other multivariate modeling techniques
  • Strong working knowledge of plant operations, product design and product technical transfer
  • Ability to work in a diverse work environment, manage multiple priorities, and at times, be selfdirected
  • Business fluent in English, ability to communicate in German, French is a plus
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work within a matrix organization, relationship and influencing skills to work across operations, quality, regulatory and supply chain
  • Ability to collaborate and work with Global Life Sciences OT and Operations team.
  • Highly motivated, adaptable, and selfdirected
  • Excellent written and communication skill are required
