- Drive engineering & process tasks targeting the highest majority level of developed processes for R&D & manufacturing.
- Analyze & solve problems in the business domain of Advanced Packaging Technologies using standard quality engineering methods, such as SPC/CPK/CMK, MSA, & FMEA, or set up 6Sigma green belt projects to lead the team to successfully improve problems.
- Implement & evaluate technologies, capabilities & processes (current &/or new) in the business domain & ensure stability of processes & machines.
- Specify & select new tools, systems, & lines for production.
- Manage engineering projects with internal & external partners.
- Cooperate with technicians on hook-up, installation, & acceptance activities of new tools, systems & production lines.
- Prepare & foster documentation for new & already installed tools (risk assessment, work instructions, etc.).
- Conduct machine & process trainings as well as process execution on equipment for high-precision die-attach from market leading companies (Musashi, Besi, Tresky, ficonTec, etc.).
- University Degree in Physics, Chemistry, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a similar field
- 8+ years of relevant work experience in high tech industrial areas (e.g. MEMS, semiconductor, packaging technologies, etc.)
- Skilled in scientific works, hands on mentality, & solution-oriented way of working
- Deep knowledge in semiconductor packaging technologies & processes
- Deep interest in understanding of process requirements as well as tool capabilities
- Open to cooperate & participate in cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication & presentation skills in English, German &/or Chinese is a plus
- Ability to cooperate effectively & participate in in multicultural & interdisciplinary teams
