Duties:


  • Plans, reviews, and executes highly specialized, mission critical Counterintelligence (CI) and Human Intelligence (HUMINT) requirements for JCS Directed Operations and contingency plans.
  • Establishes and maintains regular direct liaison contact and staff coordination with the intelligence community to ensure that coordination is accomplished and HUMINT policy and oversight requirements are satisfied.
  • Conducts specialized CI/HUMINT related research, evaluation, interpretation, and analysis using publications, documents, reports and debriefings in response to established local and national intelligence requirements.

  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 60085, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • This position requires the employee to sign a mobility agreement under the provisions of the agency mobility program.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • May be required to work irregular shifts/hours.
  • This position is considered Non-Combat Essential (NCE) in support of the Army's mobilization and wartime mission during periods of increased tension and mobilization and could be assigned to any location worldwide. Please see additional information.

  • To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience in counterintelligence, human intelligence, and collection management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS11).
  • Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligencerelated research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled.

This experience should demonstrate:

Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.

Permanent employees who apply, are selected for, and ultimately accept this position will be converted to a term appointment. Term positions in DCIPS may be extended up to a maximum of five years. This position may be converted to permanent without further competition after completion of two years of continuous service in this position.
