    Amazon Business Unit AMXL is looking for an experienced andenthusiastic Procurement Specialist to assist the Procurementdepartment in managing all aspects of the purchase to pay process.

    The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the team.

    This role requires experience in procurement,ideally within an international and customer-driven environment

    You will be responsible for:

    • Supportinglocal Procurement activities related to new sitelaunches
    • Providing ongoing Procurement support toexisting sites
    • Delivering policy and process trainingto requesters and key stakeholders/functions
    • Identifying and managing a local supply base
    • Managing alocal category
    • Managing supplierrelationships
    • Enforcing and monitoring Procurementpolicy compliance and working with the relevant individuals to makeimprovements where required
    • Proactively leading,executing and supporting local and EU wide procurement projectactivities throughout all phases of the project
    • Partnering with other Country Procurement Specialists toconsolidate the supply base and Business as usual (BAU)requirements at an EU level.
    • Identifying savingsopportunities and partnering with Category Managers to deliversavings through tenders/negotiations/contract renewals.
    • Managing the relationship with our internal customers
    • Willing to travel throughout the EU

    Regarding the team,The Site Procurement Operations team (SPO) works collaborativelywith internal stakeholders and external suppliers to provideprocurement support and solutions.

    This pillar sits at the heart ofsite operations and works with local stakeholders to deliverprocurement solutions to complex on-siteprojects.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    - Bachelor'sDegree with Procurement or Supply Chain or significant Procurementexperience in Sourcing, Contracts Management or equivalentrole

    • Fluency in German and English
    • Effective listening, communication (verbal and written), andcommercial mindset
    • Bias for action and result drivenmindset
    • Any additional sourcing and/or purchasingcompetencies would be advantageous
    • Demonstrated successmanaging inventory, including auditing, forecasting andplanning
    • Problemsolving and analytical ability to drawconclusions from data
    • Ability to identify issues,develop solutions & drive results
    • Proficiency inMicrosoft Office
    • Contract and Price negotiationexperience is advantageous

    PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS

    - Degree with Procurement or Supply Chainfocus

    • CIPS/EIPM accreditation or equivalent functionalknowledge or accreditation
    • Experience of ERP(SAP/Coupa)
    • Ability to work as part of a team andindependently
    • Ability to communicate effectively with individualsat all levels to manage expectations and push back whereappropriate
    • Ability to manage conflicting prioritieseffectively and accurately, anticipating problems, managingexpectations, resolving issues and identifying solution
    • Takes ownership of tasks and ability to make decisions
    • Demonstrates patience and perseverance during setbacks andchallenge
    • Excellent written and verbal communicationskills and experience of dealing with both internal and externalcustomers/suppliers at all levels
