Duties:


  • Develops, coordinates, and maintains Intelligence Annexes, Intelligence Estimates, Intelligence Task Lists, Priority Intelligence Requirements.
  • Serves as the J2 Lead Planner and representative to various Operations Planning Team (OPT) and Intelligence Planning Team (IPT) working groups.
  • Synchronizes the Intelligence Directorate activities in support of OPT requirements and ensure all intelligence products and services are integrated in the OPTs.

Conditions of Employment:


  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 60085, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligencescope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a preappointment and periodic basis.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Special Background Investigation (TS/SBI), and be eligible for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) travel is required 20% or less of the time.
  • This position is considered Emergency-Essential (E-E) in support of the Army's mobilization and wartime mission. See Qualification section.
  • May require consent to take a counterintelligence scope polygraph examination if access to a special access program or similar activity is needed.

  • To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience equivalent to the GG/GS [12] that prepared you to do this job. Specialize experience is defined and experience which includes experience in intelligence crisis planning processes and procedure to develop Concepts Plans, Campaign Plans, or Operation Orders for intelligence and security engagements; and experience in intelligence threat analysis to identify or assess current trends or threat implications. This definition of specialize experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the Federal service.
  • Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligencerelated research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled.

This experience should demonstrate:

Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle, and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics, and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures, and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting, and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.

  • This position is considered Emergency-Essential (E-E) in support of the Army's mobilization and wartime mission during periods of increased tension and mobilization and could be assigned to any location worldwide. The incumbent must sign DD Form 2365, stating as a condition of employment, the conditions described above and the requirement to maintain certain levels of medical, including the anthrax vaccination; security; performance; conduct; and overall fitness that make them suitable for assignment to an austere and stressful combat environment is understood. A family care plan is required for single parents or families where both parents are emergency essential, including situations where one parent is in the military. Failure to perform the duties of this position in an emergency may result in appropriate action defined as separation for the efficiency of the Federal service under the procedures contained in 5 CFR 752.
