The Cypriot predecessor, the "COLUMBIA Cruise Group" looks back on a history of 30 years within the maritime leisure industry.

Due to our continuous fleet expansion, we are looking for the right individual to strengthen and lead our Hamburg based Commercial Team.

As the Leader of the Commercial Department Your tasks are:

Leading, managing and developing the Commercial activities in line with the company's objective to add value and to mitigate and control risk;
Ensuring that the Department is functioning in accordance with the Company Management System requirements and Customer's expectations;
Ensuring development of new or revised procedures, promoting and supporting efforts for continual improvement of the Company Management System;
Setting Departmental Objectives, Targets and KPIs to support the Company in achieving set goals and long term strategies and monitor ongoing progress and performance to ensure business development targets are met;
Ensuring that the Department has capabilities and resources to provide support and expertise to the Customers, the fleet and other Departments of the Company at all times;
Ensure Financial Budget and Cost Control for vessel related costs across the company in collaboration with Heads of Departments ;
Analysing business data pertaining to all Company commercial activities;
Providing leadership to direct reports; ensuring they are trained and enabling them to achieve the operational excellence within their areas of responsibility and succeed in their roles;
Manage existing client relationships to ensure performance and continuous improvement in delivery of goods and services exceed customer's expectation ;
Liaising with relevant internal departments to ensure that commercial customer needs are met and that customer's requirements are fully communicated throughout the business;
Preparing budget proposals in close cooperation and coordination with the operational departments;
Presenting the budget proposal to the Top Management for approval prior sending to the vessel's owners;
Ensuring that budget proposals at the end of each calendar year are sent to the owners in due time.
Preparing of dry dock repair contracts and reviewing terms and conditions of supplier contracts;
Supporting preparation of management proposals and tenders;
Working on projects or tasks assigned by the Top Management.

Your profile:

Bachelor's Degree in relevant field, ideally in Business Studies
A minimum of five (5) years' work experience in a managerial position
Very good command of the English language;
Very good leadership, controlling and communication skills as well the ability to work within a team;
