About the role:

We are looking for a passionate Master-Thesis student with good communication and analytical skills, with studies related to maritime and/or sustainability, to join our team at DNV Hamburg.

Supporting our clients to reduce emissions is one of the main priority of our team. As world leading company for maritime verification, it is our aim to give trust and traceability to emission data.

New introduced regulations like EU ETS and the absolute ambition our clients to decarbonize complete supply chains with e.g., alternative fuels are key drivers for ship operators.

What will you do?
The goal of this Master-Thesis student is to focus on the systematic of verification methods and standards.

Support our clients with their emission calculation and reporting and look into new ways for DNV to standardize calculation processes.

This Master-Thesis will be based on real challenges and set up together with leading companies within the industry. You will work in a team and get mentored by different senior engineers, managers and consultants.

The work location will be in Hamburg.

About you:

Studying in the field of sustainability management, maritime, logistics, environmental engineering
Interest and knowledge in sustainability, environment and decarbonization
Experience with analyzing datasets will be an advantage
Knowledge of GHG protocol or EU RED II advantageous
Individuals should be selfmotivated and work well in teams
Good written and verbal skills in German & English as DNV's working language
Open minded, curious and proactive
