The Junior Professorship of English Medieval Studies at the Faculty of Philology is looking for a

PhD Assistant in English Medieval Studies (m,f,x) 3 for years, 25,8895 hours per week, TVL E13:

Your tasks:

PhD project in English Medieval Studies

- independent teaching of 3 SWS per semester in the areas of Old and/or Middle English language, literature, and/or culture (at the level of B.A. Anglistik/Amerikanistik and Master of Education)
- assisting the chair in administrative tasks, research projects, and funding

Your profile:

- excellent degree in the field of English Studies (M.A., state exam, or comparable) with a clear focus on Old and/or Middle English
- convincing PhD project in English Medieval Studies (Linguistics, Literary, and/or Cultural Studies); please hand in an exposé of max. 3 pages
- high level of proficiency in academic English
- independent teaching (previous experience in academic teaching is preferred)
- willingness to participate in activities and research projects of the chair

Additional information:

The load of teaching will be calculated according to - 3 of Lehrverpflichtungsverordnung (state of North Rhine-Westphalia).
