Research Assistant/PhD Student position (all genders) in integrated optics for biodetection:
initially for a fixed term of up to 3 years.

We are looking for new team members with a strong background in experimental physics or engineering who are enthusiastic about experimental and theoretical research.

The goal is to develop new microfluidic technologies for detecting single biomolecules, nanoparticles, and viruses with high throughput. Such technologies are needed in many fields, ranging from synthetic biology to pharmaceutical science and medical diagnostics.

This project aims to integrate microfluidic systems with microfabricated diffractive and refractive optical components to detect pathogens and biomarkers fast, scalable, and with better specificity than existing techniques.
