    The Role:

    • Deal Origination: Proactively identify and pursue attractive merger and acquisition (M&A) opportunities within the renewable energy sector by conducting market research, industry analysis, and building relationships with potential buyers, sellers, and investors.
    • Transaction Execution: Oversee the entire process of executing deals, from initial due diligence to final negotiations and closing. Ensure adherence to rigorous financial modeling, valuation analysis, and risk assessment.
    • Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial modeling and scenario analysis to assess the feasibility and potential synergies of M&A transactions. Evaluate the financial implications of potential deals and provide insightful recommendations to clients.
    • Business Development: Expand and reinforce the company's client base by cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, including renewable energy companies, private equity firms, institutional investors, and other relevant industry participants.
    • Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics in the renewable energy sector. Utilize this knowledge to offer strategic insights to clients and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
    • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of M&A professionals, creating a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Ensure the team remains motivated, focused, and dedicated to delivering outstanding client results.
    • Client Advisory: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their strategic goals and tailoring M&A solutions to meet their specific requirements. Act as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through the entire M&A process.
    • Negotiations and Agreements: Take charge of negotiations and the structuring of deal agreements to maximize value for clients while maintaining compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
    • Due Diligence: Supervise comprehensive due diligence processes, encompassing legal, financial, commercial, and operational assessments, to identify potential risks and opportunities associated with M&A transactions.
    • Reporting and Communication: Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and updates for clients and senior management, conveying complex financial and strategic information clearly and concisely.

    The Individual:

    • Education: Hold a Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. Possessing an advanced degree (MBA, CFA) would be advantageous.
    • Experience: Demonstrate a minimum of 8 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, preferably within the renewable energy sector. Have a proven track record of successfully executing complex M&A transactions.
    • Industry Expertise: Possess comprehensive knowledge of the renewable energy market, including technologies, regulatory frameworks, key industry players, and emerging trends.
    • Financial Skills: Exhibit strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills, with the ability to assess and interpret financial statements and deal structures.
    • Networking: Display excellent networking and relationship-building skills, with a track record of establishing and maintaining strong connections within the renewable energy industry.
    • Proficiency in German and English
