- Together with your team, you are responsible for accurate, timely, and legally compliant payroll processing (performed by 3rd party vendors) for employees in all locations of zooplus Group.
- You ensure the implementation and processing of legal regulations in the areas of payroll tax and social security and act as the main contact person for complex and overarching questions related to payroll tax law and social security for the various legal entities.
- You enhance global payroll processes and establish a regional operating model that will scale with an increasing workforce and meet multinational compliance requirements (e.g., tax and social security).
- You drive unification and coordinate regional efforts towards global process standardization while finding the right balance applying local flexibility when required.
- You build close and trustful partnerships with internal stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Accounting, Tax Compliance) and external business partners to develop smooth, scalable and high-quality processes and procedures.
- You steer payroll tax and social security audits and manage related risks by engaging with internal and external counsels, auditors, and advisors.
- You are responsible for all aspects of cross-border employment, including the compliant application of payroll tax, social security and payroll process aspects for employees and managers, as well as international transfers.
- You develop and own streamlined policies around cross-border employment and establishing guidelines and processes to operationalize Global Mobility in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external business partners.
- You provide advice, training and solutions to executives, managers, employees and HR on all Global Mobility related matters.
- Relevant university degree in a Business or Tax related area.
- 6+ years of experience in international payroll, social security and payroll taxes, leading payroll teams and multinational payroll operations - being experienced in cross-border employment topics (Global Mobility).
- Affinity and strong understanding of legal and regulatory payroll compliance.
- Proven track record in managing relationships with several third-party payroll providers and internal stakeholders.
- Experience with the set-up of standardized processes and related implementation activities in an international context.
- Fluency in English and German language.

We are a growing company with headquarters in Munich and nine offices throughout Europe.
In order to manage our payroll compliantly and streamlined - both process- and taxation-wise - and to enable our business in cross-border employment matters (Global Mobility), we are looking for a Head of Payroll, Taxation & Global Mobility (all genders)
