Eurodrone Programme - Shaping the future of UAS

With its groundbreaking industrial and commercial setup and its unique certification and flexibility, European Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) showcases how European industry can find innovative ways to support strategic autonomy needs and prepare for the Future Combat Air System.

European MALE RPAS is not just the first programme to fully implement digital design manufacturing and services (DDMS).

It is also seen as a 'light-house' programme, not only within Airbus, but also for the entire aeronautics industry in Europe.

Eurodrone is a program in which Airbus has the Prime role.

It will be the first AIRBUS Defence and Space programme implementing a complete PDT / IPT setup and AGILE ways-of-working based on the SAFe governance model.

The Eurodrone system consists of three flight vehicles and one ground station plus all necessary equipment ensuring the full operation in the field.

It is a Drone having about 30m span, 12 tons weight able to fly for different military missions within a quite large envelope.

On top it has to be disassembled / assembled with 48hours for transportation on ground, sea or flight (e.g. packed in 5 A400M).

The strategic relevance of Eurodrone is reflected by a direct reporting line to HO Engineering TE.

Within this future set up, we seek a highly motivated and experienced individual for the Chief Engineer Human Factors Architect position.

The Chief Engineers Human Factors Architect receive their delegation directly from the Programme Chief Engineer and they are accountable for the optimum design and engineering development of their respective components, including compliance with airworthiness and safety, environmental protection, RPAS operability, design maturity, security and operations requirements working together with the Eurodrone overall Engineering organization.
