The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in our fantastic HR Team as a Payroll Manager supporting the Payroll Director with strategic functions as well as managing a large team of Payroll Specialists to support an accurate and timely payroll of approximately DACH) employees across 6 countries.

In addition, the following activities are part of your area of responsibility:

Management and oversight of payroll operations for Germany, Austria and Switzerland and drive ongoing compliance through continuous improvement.
Drive all payroll queries to Payroll Specialists via People Portal (ticketing system) ensuring compliance to SLA.
Manage all overpayment recovery and payroll reconciliations, working closely with Finance.
Support Payroll Director with audit enquiries and implementation of processes to ensure compliance.
Manage and analyse our payroll data to ensure accuracy and provide key information to other teams in the business (eg. Finance).
Analyse variance reports and prepare payroll sign off documentation for Payroll Director and HR Director approval in a timely manner.
Approve and ensure all payments are made on time, providing oversight of a global compliance timetable.
Ensure third party payments are made to providers accurately and on time.
Manage year-end reporting, including P11Ds.

Can you deliver...

A team player with the ability to take initiative and lead by example and min. 5 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration.
Fluent in German and English.
Excellent interpersonal skills – treats people with respect; is approachable, open and direct; develops effective working relationships with staff at all levels.
A high degree of PC literacy with advanced Excel (Pivots and VLookups).
Good decision-making skills.
Flexible approach to work, responsibilities and deadlines.
A strong focus on customer service essential.
High level of attention to detail with good analytical and numeracy skills.
