    Our client is an Asian Industrial Engineering Technology Group and acting as a a global leader in providing integrated solutions for renewable energy consumption, energy saving, pollution control, and carbon capture & utilization (CCU) and efficient Ammonia-based Desulfurization for power, refining, petrochemical, chemical and metallurgical industries.

    Our client is starting up a NewCo in Europe to launch and establish the decarbonization technology outside Asia and North America. Major goal is to leverage the market potential in Europe.

    Position profile

    The Sales Manager is a sales executive responsible for overseeing all sales and business development aspects to promote decarbonization technology to industrial corporations across Germany and Europe, also including a particular emphasis on Eastern Europe.

    This role presents a unique opportunity to drive business growth and contribute to the fight against climate change by advocating for sustainable solutions in the industrial sector.

    The ideal candidate will have firsthand sales experience, ideally combined with technical expertise in Europe and possess specialized knowledge in one or several of the target sectors like engineering, energy, electrical power and agriculture sectors.

    The future incumbent will play a critical role in ensuring sales excellence and growth in the market to establish the NewCo.

    Responsibilities:

    • Developing a solid pipeline of new decarbonization projects in Germany, with potential expansion to selected neighbouring European countries, especially in Eastern Europe
    • Sales and business development
    • Technical expertise and solution selling
    • Relationship management and customer support
    • Reporting and performance tracking
    • Positioning and customer experience
    • Running in a startup mode

    Candidate profile

    The role of the Sales Manager is pivotal for establishing the NewCo, driving growth, and creating a strong market presence. It will be necessary to combine a deep understanding of sales & business development know how as well as target sector expertise with the agility to adapt sales strategies as the company evolves.

    This role demands strategic thinking, problem-solving and leadership skills, and the ability to drive growth in a resource-constrained environment.

    • Education: in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
    • Minimum 5-10 years of progressive experience in sales roles
    • Proven track record of success in sales and business development, preferably within the industrial sector and/or environmental technology.
    • Strong understanding of or willing to learn about decarbonization technology and its applications, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
    • Specialized knowledge and experience in at least one of the target sectors, e.g. engineering, energy, electrical power
    • Experience with regard to coal power plants are an advantage
    • Knowledge of the energy transition landscape, across CCUS, Hydrogen and clean power, and key technologies that are enabling them is also an advantage
    • Ability to take ownership, execute and shaperesults
    • Ability to close complex deals and business agreements
    • Existing broad and intimate network in the Energy and/or Industrial market in Germany and/ or Europe
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic approach to sales planning and execution
    • Results-driven mindset with a focus on exceeding targets and driving revenue growth
    • Strong presentation skills including communicating complex technical content to a range of audiences and leadership team members
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in German and English. (Proficiency in other languages, particularly Eastern European languages, is an advantage).
    • Ability to travel extensively within Europe to meet with clients and prospects.
