    Summary

    This role entails spearheading the technical execution of products based on established architecture and master specifications in alignment with company-wide design control standards. Concentrating on medical accessories like tube sets for insufflators and pumps.

    Responsibilities

    • Define and document system design following provided architecture and platform development guidelines, while adhering to regulatory and normative requirements.
    • Analyze internal and external stakeholder needs.
    • Select and map customer requirements to existing platform solutions, coordinating with stakeholders as needed.
    • Identify features for integration, initiating feature request creation if required.
    • Oversee technical implementation of new product features, ideally as reusable platform components.
    • Create product-specific system specifications.
    • Coordinate technical solutions among various departments.
    • Manage technical aspects of project components and provide content support for related work packages alongside the project manager and departments.
    • Draft and upkeep technical documentation in collaboration with the project manager.
    • Handle product-specific risk management in partnership with the risk manager.
    • Develop product-specific verification plans and ensure their successful execution.
    • Lead technical management of equipment and hose set constructions (Alpha, Beta, Vali).
    • Facilitate product transfer to production (design transfer).
    • Review and approve assembly instructions.
    • Conduct standard tests for devices and tube sets.
    • Support manufacturing processes up to pilot series (NPI); Provide technical assistance to production (PE).
    • Oversee material control and BOM creation/management.
    • Responsible for technical approval of products by clients.
    • Serve as the technical focal point for customers (e.g. project acquisition).

    General Tasks

    • Ensure strict compliance with quality, occupational safety, and environmental regulations.
    • Follow instructions from the quality/environmental management representative and occupational safety specialist.

      • Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies

    • Training/Education: Dipl.-Ing./Master of Electrical Engineering/ Medical Technology/ Mechanical Engineering or Materials Engineering/ Biology or equivalent
    • Technical Requirements Profile: Extensive experience in product development as a Systems Engineer. Proficiency in mechanics, sterility, biocompatibility. Familiarity with Design to Cost. Knowledge of manufacturing processes for sterile tubing sets (gluing, welding, packaging, etc.). Experience in requirement definition or management systems. Understanding of verification procedures. Experience in transitioning products to production. Familiarity with relevant standards. Proficiency in English & German (minimum B2 level). Knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
