- Managing the country tax position of AkzoNobel legal entities in DACH region, ensuring compliance with tax laws
- Staying informed about tax regulations and offering tax advice to local stakeholders
- Creating efficient tax strategies for the DACH region
- Oversight of tax processes optimization and enhancement
- Reviewing IFRS tax reporting closely with the accounting team, providing guidance and training
- Reviewing VAT and withholding tax filings
- Coordinating the corporate income tax return process with external service providers
- Handling and coordinating tax audits
- Collaborating with the global transfer pricing team to ensure complete and timely local transfer pricing documentation
- Supporting global projects and changes to consider and implement tax implications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, tax, law, or related field; tax counselor certification is a plus
- Several years of relevant tax experience, preferably in an in-house role
- Solid knowledge of German tax regulations, with additional experience in Austrian and Swiss tax regulations as a bonus
- Desire to stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations
- Analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems
- Excellent MS Office skills, especially in Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluency in both German and English
