- Design and validate digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms for a broad field of applications, including:
- software defined radio
- free-space optical communications
- radar systems
- microwave sensors
- Contribute to the implementation of critical algorithms in FPGA and/or software
- Close collaboration with our product teams and other development teams
- Joint responsibility for the technical team goals: on quality, on time, performance, maintainability and scalability
- Advanced understanding of digital signal processing and communications engineering (M.Sc., Ph.D. or comparable experience)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
- Solid experience with modeling tools and languages (e.g. MATLAB, Python, GNU Radio)
- Hands-on expertise in at least one of these fields:
- development of complex HDL modules in VHDL or Verilog (e.g. for signal demodulation or channel decoding at high data rates)
- development of performance-critical DSP software in C or C++ (possibly using SIMD methods)
- Expertise with the AMD/Xilinx FPGA development toolchain (Vivado, Vitis, HLS)
- Familiarity with physical layer standards for satellite communications (DVB-S2X, DVB-RCS, CCSDS, 5G NR)
- System-level understanding of satellite communications systems (possibly including 5G Non-Terrestrial-Networks)
- Experience in virtualization technologies (AWS, Azure, Docker)
- Experience in standardization committees
