- Provide Leadership on the FEED and detail design workstream for TSOs (50Hertz, Amprion, Tennet, TransnetBW)
- Ensure adequate quality assurance and delivery of FEED, Detailed design and bids for the Protection & Control up to 380kV
- Ensure adequate resources and training of resources for the purposes of delivering FEED and detailed design work
- Experience designing the HV infrastructure across the full project lifecycle from feasibility to detailed design
- Undertake site visits / non-intrusive surveys as required as part of the design activities or as part of site support
- Ensuring risks are proactively identified, assessed and managed to avoid adverse impacts on the project
- Identification, assessment, and adoption of the best technical solution.
- Risk and CDM management
- Attending and chair the design review and Hazard review meetings and reviewing HV plant design packages as required
- Attending site visits, FAT and SAT as required
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience
- State-Certified Engineer or Chartered Engineer through the IET or equivalent
- Track record of leading teams in the delivery of Front-End Engineering and design or Detailed design of EHV (150kV AC & DC upwards) substation/converter projects
- Minimum 12 years of experience working for a client organisation such as transmission system owner/operator, distribution network operator or a design consultancy delivering to such organisation
- P&C Design Experience in the following areas will be considered advantageous:
- TSO & DNO
- Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)
- Windfarms and HVDC
- Extensive experience in P&C FEED or detailed design of high voltage installations (150kV to 380kV)
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in coaching and developing junior engineers
- Flexibility to travel to client sites when required
- Ability to work flexibly across multiple projects
- Customer focused when dealing with customers, identifying their needs along with business development skills
