- Achieves established sales and retention goals through personal direction of all executive and staff level activities of the sales process.
- Supports smaller to mid-sized sales relationships (in the Broker Dealer/RIA/Bank & Institutional channel) and plans executes for material segments under general guidance of more senior sales executives or sales managers. Achieves sales and retention goals within the spirit of Vanguard's Code of Ethics.
- Develops a strategic sales plan for a specific territory and/or target client segment to efficiently identify quality new business relationships and leverage Vanguard capabilities for maximum success.
- Drives results by raising awareness of Vanguard's investment capabilities and services through targeted prospecting activities. Prospect activities may include cold calling, face-to-face meetings, targeted mailings, hosting seminars, and attendance at industry conferences.
- Develops, maintains, and broadens relationships with prospects and client organizations. Captures detailed understanding of the philosophy and dynamics of the prospects and client organizations.
- Acts as a trusted adviser to prospects and clients and positions Vanguard products and services optimally.
- Develops knowledge of regulatory environment and ensures that Vanguard operates in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Collaborates and provides insight and direction to internal partners.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
- Undergraduate degree in a business-related field of concentration or equivalent combination of training and experience. All majors are considered; majors in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or data analytics preferred. May have relevant work experience through internships/co-ops.
- Three years related experience. Prior sales experience preferred.
- Interest in the financial services industry.
- Ability to function and learn in fast paced, ambiguous environment working with multiple and diverse responsibilities. Effective time management skills.
- Conceptual thinking proficiency.
- Professional presence and demeanor working with colleagues and management.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including: written and verbal communications, willingness to assist in areas outside of direct assignments when necessary, and dedication to self-improvement and completion of team objectives.

We are looking for a Sales Executive to broaden coverage in the Intermediated Wholesale area in Germany and Austria. The Sales Executive identifies, builds, and develops new business opportunities for Vanguard. You will assist in the ongoing retention of key accounts; develop sales skills and product knowledge. You will cover smaller or less complex prospects and/or accounts under general supervision. Also assist more senior sales executives and managers with larger and complex prospects and/or accounts.
