- Master ́s degree in neuroscience, biology, biochemistry or any related field
- Expertise in murine models and advanced statistical modelling are and advantage
- Prior experience in conducting research projects with animals (IRB approval, project implementation etc.)
- Prior experience with flow cytometry are and advantage
- Track record of prior publications in international peer-reviewed journals

» Your tasks
The is a University of Cologne funded via the Excellent Research Support Program (ERSP). The aim of the group is to foster inter-faculty projects on brain-body interactions and the autonomic neurosciences within the next three years. We are looking for a PhD student with prior experience and interest in Animal Translational Research. The candidate will support the establishment of methods for vagus nerve stimulation in murine models. The candidate will further be involved in a lab-rotation, supporting the publication of existing secondary data from prior projects at the intersection of participating principal investigators working with animal models.
