  • Job Duties:

  • Business Development/Account Manager for large strategic OEM's within the Food & Packaging Industry for the Virginia market.
  • Primary responsibility is to develop the business strategy and business development objectives for the defined customers in this industry.
  • Effectively handle assigned customers through consultative selling and the technical understanding of applications.
  • Responsible for customer development, account planning, and maintaining documentation of visits and opportunities in Festo's CRM tool.
  • Work effectively in a matrix based environment by collaborating and working with distribution, sales engineers, district managers, and application engineers.
  • Analyzes the market to search for new potential customers and automation trends in the industry.
  • Recommends pricing strategies according to customer situation in coordination with the objectives of the industry segment.
  • Is the main contact to customer and is responsible for the implementation project team, including the coordination of national or international projects.
  • Participate in an extensive training program of electric automation, pneumatic automation, sales and product training
  • Experience & Education Preferred:

  • BS in a technical discipline or equivalent industry experience.
  • 5+ years of industry segment experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the Virginia market.
  • Experience working within a matrix based and multi channel organization, preferred.
  • Working knowledge of electric automation and pneumatic automation is required.
  • Field sales, key account management, experience.
  • Exposure or demonstrated involvement of strategic account development.
