- Grow the team to address the needs of projects at advanced development and during their construction phase
- Develop the reporting templates and procedures to ensure the stakeholders have a clear view of the projects' status.
- Ensure risks for the timely completion of the projects are identified on the and working to provide solutions to mitigate all risks.
- Work closely with HSE team to ensure all projects are built safely and that they adhere to all HSE codes (nationally and company policy).
- Creating standards for project timelines and budget allowances and ensuring that these are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Navigating quality standards through all levels of construction department.
- Fluent In German language and a high-level of English
- Successful track record in project delivery of Solar, wind, or BESS plants.
- Essential to have 7+ years of prior experience in the renewable energy construction industry, ideally from either an EPC, DNO, or IPP.
- Team Management experience in solar and renewable plants connected to both MV and HV networks.
- Ability to lead and inspire teams
- Ability to communicate and report clearly and effectively with good presentation skills

Piper Maddox have partnered with a pan-European IPP, backed by a €2 billion investor, to help find the first person in their German construction team.
Operating in the UK, Italy, Romania, Belgium, and now growing in Germany, they've secured 600MWs of pipeline in Germany and 7.5GWs across Europe. As the Director of Construction, you'll be responsible for growing a team to ensure delivery of this pipeline in one of their key territories.
They have hired several well-known industry leaders for their senior management team to steer the future success of the business. One of their co-founders also sits on the board of their €2B investor, which means that there's no red tape or overbearing fund managers for you to deal with.
Their goal is to become a leading operator of renewable energy assets in Germany, and your role will be a crucial part of this.
