    SUMMARY: As part of a leading global aerospace distributor, the Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for assisting with the successful management of the VSE Aviation quality organization. Performs quality activities in support of other organizational departments and leaders, meeting quality goals and objectives with a strong customer focused approach. The ideal candidate is an efficient, dynamic, and cooperative individual who remains calm and productive under pressure, is customer-focused, and able to foster productive relationships.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Works with internal groups (Sales, Quality, Purchasing) to support problem resolution and escalated issues for customers and vendors
    • Provide support for other departments with accurate and timely information to ensure customer expectations are met in an effective and professional manner
    • Establish and maintain a trusting, positive and profitable relationship between internal and external customers
    • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management via the Return Material (RMA) process
    • Keeps records of customer interactions or transactions in Corrective Action logs
    • Assists in creating Root Cause Corrective Action reports that detail inquiries, complaints, or comments, as well actions taken
    • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports detailing RMA and RCCA activity for each distribution site
    • Develop relationships with manufacturing partners to coordinate Return to Vendor (RTV) activities
    • Maintains and updates RTV logs with communications or interactions pertaining to each vendor return and/or quality escape
    • Understand and transmit technical information to internal and external customers for processing RTVs on nonconforming material and/or documentation
    • Addresses with manufacturers missing or illegible certification documentation, shortages, or any other issues with parts/documentation
    • Communicates with vendors to obtain required information for RTVs (RMA, Certs, Shipping method)
    • Other duties assigned.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Associate degree or 4+ years of on-the-job experience in lieu of education
    • Detailed oriented, self-motivated, and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong analytical, reporting, and troubleshooting skills
    • Has superior knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
    • Ability to build effective working relationships with internal/external customers and embrace a customer focused approach
    • Excellent time management skills with ability to efficiently organize and manage multiple and competing priorities
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Fluent in English and German

    PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's degree or technical certification in quality methods and processes
    • Knowledge of Quantum Component Control or another aviation ERP system
    • QA methods knowledge
    • Knowledge of ISO/ASA audits/auditor training
    • Familiar with Microsoft Power BI
