    About the Role

    We are seeking a talented and creative UX Designer / Data Visualization Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in enhancing user experiences and designing intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for our data visualization products and applications. You will transform complex data sets into visually appealing and easy-to-understand visualizations, dashboards, and reports. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs, gather requirements, and create visually compelling data visualizations that provide actionable insights.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop interactive and visually compelling data visualizations, dashboards and reports using data visualization tools.
  • Transform raw data into meaningful insights through data aggregation, analysis and visualization techniques.
  • Work closely with Product Managers on product research and vision, translating it into wireframes, mockups and final designs.
  • Communicate design ideas effectively, conducting user research, interviews and usability testing to gather feedback and iteratively improve the user experience.
  • Ensure consistency and adherence to design standards and best practices across all data visualization projects.
  • Develop and maintain data visualization standards, best practices, templates and documentation.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate on data visualization techniques and best practices.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in UX design and data visualization.
  • Test concepts with users and integrate their feedback. Actively participate in the development of a design system and platform styles.
  • Identify UX problems autonomously and devise elegant solutions to ensure a delightful user experience

    • Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a UX designer or data visualization specialist, preferably within a business intelligence or analytics field (3+ years).
  • Strong portfolio showcasing UX design projects and data visualization work.
  • Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Sketch, or other visual design and wireframing tools.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as, ideally Quicksight and/or Tableau, Power BI or similar.
  • Experience in Streamlit highly beneficial.
  • Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to human-computer interaction.
  • Familiarity with emerging design trends, techniques, and technologies.
  • A passion for staying updated on industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and effectively communicate complex data/design concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of data analysis techniques and best practices (knowledge of SQL and/or Python)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with agile development processes.
  • Proactive in identifying problems and proposing creative solutions.
