Beschreibung

Duties:


  • Serve as the technical system administrator for selected systems, manage Enterprise support server administration, and oversee and direct Systems Management Branch (SMB) server operations and system administration.
  • Manage the daytoday operations of the RCC-E servers and all related computer systems and hardware.
  • Install, configure, maintain, operate and monitor performance of all Enterprise servers, and installed services; work closely with the Network Management Branch (NMB) to manage Enterprise Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) servers.
  • Advise and work with other technical specialists and Systems Administrators (SA) on development, testing, installation, and maintenance of automation networks and the wide variety of associated support systems and software.
  • Interpret new or revised command policies and objectives to determine their impact on current systems and future plans.
  • Analyze and define automation needs and assist in identifying information and communication needs of supported customers.
  • Evaluate new or changed software to determine how it would support current and planned systems and projects, considering problems of compatibility, processing ease and speed, known technological trends and developments.
  • Direct and monitor the installation, configuration, and consolidation of servers and services into Area Processing Centers and Local Processing Centers in US Army
  • Europe (USAREUR).

  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Applicants must comply with the Exceptional Family Member Program requirements as outlined in the DoD Instruction
  • This position requires the incumbent to possess, or obtain and maintain, a valid official U.S. Passport.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) travel is required approximately 10% of the time requiring the employee to travel away from the normal duty station.
  • This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain the appropriate Information Assurance certification in accordance with DoD M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, within 6 months of entry onto duty.
  • This position requires the incumbent to hold Microsoft certifications to include: MCSA 70410, 70411, and/or
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance eligibility.
  • This position may be designated as Mission Essential. Employee may be required to remain on duty or report for duty during severe weather or other installation closings.
  • May be required to work overtime and other than normal duty hours which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Call back and emergency duty are regular requirements of this position.
  • This position MAY require shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
  • The incumbent may also be on an "oncall" status on a rotational basis.
  • May be required to carry a Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) cellular device.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a USAREUR Driver's license within 60 days of employment.
  • Position requires employee to successfully complete locally identified recurring Information Assurance Security training.
  • This position is DoD M, IAT 3; and requires the applicable Computing Environment (CE) certifications. Commercial Computing Environment certifications accepted/obtained within first 6 months of employment.

Specialized and Other Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting the installation or maintenance of desktop hardware and software systems; providing technical advice on the implementation of diverse operating and information systems; and implementing system security procedures in accordance with established guidelines. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
