    About The company:

    Responsibilities:

    As an Electromagnetic Engineer, you will play a vital role in developing superconducting magnet concepts within the context of stellarator design. This position involves a highly cross-disciplinary engineering challenge, pushing the boundaries of what is achievable in fusion technology.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience in electro-mechanical design, encompassing high-field magnets, electric motors, and battery systems.
    • Knowledge of cryogenic and/or vacuum systems.
    • Proficiency in multi-physics modeling, particularly electromagnetic, structural, and thermal analysis.
    • Experience in conceptual design exploration and reduced order analysis.
    • Skills in prototype device development from concept.
    • [Nice to have] Experience in instrumentation.

    Responsibilities:

    • Explore superconducting magnet concepts within the context of stellarator design.
    • Collaborate closely with a diverse team of mechanical engineers, HTS experts, and physicists.
    • Partner with industrial collaborators to develop lab tests and hardware prototypes.
    • Evaluate high-level systems concepts, conducting trade studies between components.
    • Integrate new technologies and novel concepts to enhance fusion performance and feasibility.
