    Join Our Team: Global Commodity Manager - Castings

    About Us: We're an exciting automotive company based in Hamburg, driving innovation in the automotive industry with a focus on e-mobility projects. As we continue to expand our footprint globally, we're seeking a passionate and experienced Global Commodity Manager to lead our castings procurement efforts.

    Position: Global Commodity Manager - Castings

    Location: Hamburg, Germany (with flexible working arrangements)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead global procurement initiatives for castings, with a focus on optimizing cost, quality, and delivery performance.
    • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to support our e-mobility projects, ensuring alignment with our company's goals and objectives.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, to identify opportunities for innovation and value creation.
    • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and conditions.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance efficiency within the castings commodity.
    • Stay informed about market trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements in the automotive industry to inform procurement decisions.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience in procurement, with a focus on castings within the automotive industry.
    • Deep knowledge of casting processes, materials, and technologies, with a track record of driving innovation and cost savings.
    • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant certifications are a plus.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a demonstrated ability to lead global sourcing initiatives.
