- Collaboration on architecture, design, implementation and testing for a secure Java Card operating system for embedded solutions in the application field of telecommunications, e.g. SIM, IOT, smartphones, wearables, etc.
- Analysis of the use cases and their requirements for implementation in the software design, code and automated tests.
- Ensuring performance, memory efficiency, testability and maintainability of the Software
- Active contributions to the OpenTitan repository
- Collaboration in an international team of experts in the field of embedded hardware, software and security
- Derive technical requirements for secure embedded software solutions and contribute to their porting
- Collaboration in the development of future integrated hardware/software security anchors in Systems-On-Chip
- Master of Science Electrical / Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or comparable
- Professional experience in the development of embedded software
- Willingness and motivation to work in an international team of experts and corresponding experience with open source projects
- Good understanding of system-on-chip/embedded hardware architectures
- Good knowledge of the full stack of embedded hardware and software
- Good knowledge of low-level software and operating system development
- Experience with Linux operating systems and tool chain
- Confident handling of version control systems (Git) and issue tracking
- Very good knowledge of German and English
- SW security and countermeasures
- Rust programming language
- FPGA development
- Dealing with hardware description languages (preferably System Verilog)
- RISC-V processor architecture
- Cryptography and cryptographic protocols
- Certification (Common Criteria and FIPS)
