    Your responsibilities

    • Lead commercial projects to implement large-scale carbon capture plants at industrial sites/power plants throughout Europe (capacity larger than 100 kt/a for post-combustion carbon capture)
    • Manage contracts and claims (primarily EPC and engineering contracts), including establishing commercial specifications, tendering, evaluating, negotiating, and finalizing contracts, with support from legal and technical experts throughout the entire development and implementation phases of a CCU/S project
    • Handle (drafting/negotiating) various standardized international supply contracts and navigate different national regulations
    • Act as the liaison between the project and E.ON's central procurement department in Essen, in addition to project management/business units
    • Monitor and report project budgets continuously, while ensuring ongoing risk management (from project award phase to acceptance)
    • Conduct supplier and service provider pre-qualifications to guarantee compliance with requirements and standards, as well as promote supplier development

    Your profile

    • Hold a university degree or equivalent, coupled with a strong commercial background and extensive knowledge of tendering and procurement processes; detailed understanding of international contract management and legal frameworks
    • Possess several years of experience in commercial project and contract management within process plant construction, the energy industry, or related fields
    • Demonstrate robust procurement skills, even in challenging and intricate work environments
    • Display an entrepreneurial mindset: capable of independent work, proactive decision-making, and high dedication levels; exhibit a team-oriented and confident approach when engaging with suppliers and service providers
    • Ability to grasp technical, process engineering aspects, as well as legal matters and contract law, to comprehend procurement holistically (technical/commercial/legal)
    • Fluency in both written and spoken English and German is essential (minimum B2 level); proficiency in other languages is advantageous
    • Proficiency in SAP BI and SAP Materials Management, alongside excellent MS Office skills, particularly in Excel
    • Availability for short business trips across Europe to engage with customers and other stakeholders
